TAG Day Event Information (Closed)
This Saturday, 9/23, is our annual Tag Day event. This is the Music Department’s largest fundraising activity of the year. The volunteer support we have received so far this year has been outstanding…only a couple of more days to go.
We will be setting up for Tag Day this Friday evening (9/22), 5 pm – 9 pm, in the WHS Cafeteria. Please join us if you can (many hands make light work) – parents and students are welcome! The schedule for the day of Tag Day follows:
- 6:30 AM Tag Day Set-Up (Registration & Food Volunteers)
- 8:00 CHECK-IN at Registration Desk/Continental Breakfast
- 8:00– 8:30 Locate Team Table
- - Fill out Data Collection Form (Route #, Name, Student Team Names)
- - Students can get materials to decorate car
- - Students Review Strategy & Script
- 8:30 Tag Day Coordinators Review Schedule & Safety Tips
- 8:45 Band, Chorus, Guitar, &Orchestra “Director Pep Talk & Notes”
- 9:00 AM Start Your Tag Day Route
- 1:00 PM Finish All Routes – Return to School & Check-Out
Band Students and Parents,
See the email below from Anne Burke, the Tag Day Chairperson. In additional, Ellen Black, our Tag Day Food Coordinator asks that you bring breakfast to share. Suggestions include:
- breakfast pastries (donuts, muffins, bagels, etc)
- juice (either 1/2 gallon jugs or individual juice boxes
- a case of bottled water
- fresh fruit
Each family should choose from one of the above categories and bring enough to serve 24 people when they bring their child to the cafeteria on Tag Day.
