2011 Powhatan Fall Classic
A full final performance schedule, with warm-up times and everything, is at the bottom. This schedule will also be posted at http://www.powhatanbands.com Directions http://www.powhatanbands.com/directions.php Take the time to review this and select what’s best for you. If you are coming from the north or east, It is recommend that you utilize the various limited-access highways available to you: I-295, I-64, and 288. Driving through Richmond proper can add a considerable amount of time and tolls to your journey. Recording of the Band Each band will receive one complimentary video recording in DVD format at the show. Powhatan Fall Classic has no restrictions regarding you recording your band. School Parking Parking attendants will be there to aid you. Powhatan has selected the best parking location for your specific ensemble, and you will be directed upon arrival. Civilian vehicles will want to take the entrances prior to passing the building. Other Information Upon arrival, there will be dressing rooms available. There are no storage facilities, therefore it is recommended that a parent/chaperone accompany your group to monitor and check for belongings left behind. Please check in at registration upon arrival. Everyone on the student busses will have their hand stamped for admission into the event. Included in your package will be six additional chaperone tickets and a director's pass. No one will be allowed entrance into the event unless he/she is either wearing a uniform, has a director's pass, a hand stamp, or paid admission into the event (please keep this in mind when coordinating your prop masters and such). There are three warm-up areas on the far side of the high school. Each band is allotted 25 minutes of warm-up time here beginning 45 minutes prior to performance time. If your ensemble (or parts thereof) need more time, there is plenty of land to do so provided you do not disturb either any band using allotted warm-up time or any performing unit (just try to keep the school between you and the stadium). Please be mindful that each warm-up area needs to be cleared for the next band’s starting time. There will be motorized trailers to assist you in moving pit equipment (and any other stuff) from wherever you wish to the performance field and back.
