The following is information that you will need in order to decide whether your student will be participating in the spring trip to Myrtle Beach. The Westfield High School Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band. Concert Band and Jazz Bands have been invited to play at the Festival of Music Myrtle Beach Music Festival. This is a competition. As a parent it is important for you to consider this decision about the trip as it is binding financially. Group travel requires us to make arrangements in advance and all arrangements are based on the number of students going.
IF YOU COMMIT TO THIS TRIP AND YOU DECIDE YOUR CHILD CANNOT GO OR YOUR CHILD CANNOT GO AS A RESULT OF SCHOOL IMPOSED DISCIPLINE, YOU WILL STILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF THE TRIP. ALL MONIES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. COMMITMENT LETTER DUE BY OCT 31, 2008!

There are three ways to pay:
Please put the voucher with payment in the black box in the band room. If you have more than one student going on the trip, you may use one voucher per family and one check. You must still put the voucher in the black box when using PayPal.
If using PayPal, you may either pay the entire amount at once, or three installments. Other amounts will not be accepted via PayPal. (There will be a $2 service fee added for each total transaction to cover administrative costs)
It is critical that you pay installments in a timely manner as we are responsible for making financial deposits to the touring company. All money absolutely must be turned in NO LATER THAN MARCH 5th!
IF YOU CANNOT MEET DEPOSIT DEADLINES, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR TRIP
All students must be in good standing in the band program and attend all rehearsals and performances. The trip is open to members of the Wind Symphony, the Symphonic Band, the Concert Band.
I am keenly aware that this is an expensive trip; however, the opportunity to play at a national level is an important opportunity. I am hopeful that you will support this trip. Please take the time to consider this trip. Please return the commitment letter by October 31, 2008.
