Upcoming Calendar of Events

Welcome back to the Westfield High School Jazz band.

I am very excited to get right into the music with Jazz I.  Jazz II (8th period jazz band) will meet on Mondays after marching season is over.  The time will be 2:30-4:00.  Look for postings on the bulletin board for a specific date as marching season comes to a close.  Take note that Jazz II students will need to provide their own transportation to get home.

More Jazz concert dates will be posted very soon.

• Chantilly Jazz Festival, All students are responsible for getting to Chantilly High School for the Festival performances.
  • March 19th - The Westfield Jazz Combo will play at 9:45 p.m.  Arrival time is 8:15 p.m. at Chatilly High School to get ready for a 9:00 p.m warm up.
  • March 20th - The Westfield Jazz Band will perform at 10:55 a.m.  Arrival time is at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. warm-up.  After our performance and clinic, The Alan Baylock Jazz Orchestra will be performing.  Students are expected to stay for that performance.  After the Alan Baylock performance, students are free to leave.
• April 28th-Guest artist concert featuring Vincent Gardner with both Westfield jazz bands
• May 23rd- Dessert Concert at Pender United Methodist Church hand bell choir - 6:pm.
