Winter guard is basically color guard but in the winter without the band. We spin flags, rifles, sabres, and other equipment in a three to four minute show. Winter guard goes from December to late March/early April. Throughout the season, we build technique, develop performance skills, and learn choreography for the show. Practices are in the evenings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and some Fridays. Competitions take place on certain Saturdays in February and March, with finals in early April. Winter guard is a very fun experience, and everyone who's done it has enjoyed it and learned many new skills.
